Can an Employer Revoke a Green Card?

Answer

No, an employer cannot revoke a green card. A green card, or Permanent Resident Card, signifies an individual’s permanent resident status in the U.S, and only the U.S. government has the authority to revoke it under certain conditions. An employer can, however, terminate an employee, which might indirectly affect the status of their upcoming green card application, but they have no direct control over the status of the already issued green cards.
