Can Latent TB Affect Your Green Card Application?

A latent TB infection does not generally affect a Green Card application as it’s not a condition which under U.S. law disqualifies a person from obtaining permanent residency. However, applicants must pass a medical examination, which includes a TB test, and treatment may be required if infection is detected.
