What is the Difference between a Green Card and Citizenship?

Answer

A Green Card allows an individual to live and work permanently in the United States, but doesn’t grant them the rights of a U.S. citizen, such as voting in federal elections. U.S. citizenship, on the other hand, provides more rights including voting privileges, holding a U.S. passport, and protection from deportation. Both statuses allow individuals to work and contribute to the economy, but with citizenship comes a higher level of security and privileges.
